Endicott Interconnect Technologies’ Dr. Poliks Receives FLEXI Award

Endicott Interconnect Technologies, Inc’s. (EI) Dr. Mark Poliks was honored by the FlexTech Alliance with a FLEXI award at a ceremony held during the Eighth Annual Flexible Electronics and Displays Conference on February 3, 2009, in Phoenix, AZ.

The FLEXI awards recognize significant accomplishments in R&D, product development and leadership in education and training. Dr. Poliks, Director of Research and Development at EI and Technical Director of the Center for Advanced Microelectronics Manufacturing (CAMM) received the award for Technical Leadership and Excellence in Education in flexible electronics together with Christopher K. Ober, Francis Bard Professor of Materials Science & Engineering and Dean of Engineering at Cornell University; James C. Sturm, William & Edna Macaleer Professor of Engineering & Applied Sciences and Professor of Electrical Engineering at Princeton University and; Bahgat Sammakia, Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Binghamton University.

“These individuals and their institutions helped legitimize the field of flexible and printed electronics. Additionally, the coursework they developed is now training the engineers who will drive this industry forward,” commented Michael Ciesinski, CEO of FlexTech Alliance.
