Endicott Interconnect Technologies, Inc. (EI) today announced that it has been awarded International Standards Organization (ISO) 14001:2004 renewal for its Endicott, NY facility. This renewal certification verifies that EI’s Environmental Management System continues to conform to internationally recognized standards aimed at minimizing harmful effects on the environment and continuous improvement.
EI chose Bureau Veritas Certification (BVC), an independent certification body, as its assessor for the renewal. BVC identified no non-conformances during the assessment and commented that EI manufacturing operators possess strong knowledge and understanding of their personal contributions toward the Company’s environmental policy. BVC also praised EI’s numerous “green” programs such as the Waste Reduction Program, Water Use Reduction Program, Energy Use Reduction Program and recycling initiatives.
“This audit reflected well upon our employees. It shows they have a keen awareness of the environment in which we live and work and an understanding of how their daily actions support our company policy and procedures to help mitigate our impacts on the environment,” commented Paul Speranza, Director of Environmental Services at EI.
