Jose (Joey) Rios, Quality Engineer at Endicott Interconnect Technologies, Inc., (EI) was presented with the Distinguished Committee Service Award by the IPC for his role in developing IPC standards. He was recognized at a luncheon during the IPC APEX EXPO on Wednesday, April 7th in Las Vegas, NV.
The Distinguished Committee Service Award was presented in recognition of Joey’s exceptional contributions to IPC task groups in the development of IPC standards. Since 2008, he has actively participated in revising specifications that govern qualification and acceptance of printed circuit boards within the industry. He was directly involved in developing the Acceptability of Printed Boards (IPC-A-600H) and Qualification and Performance Specification for Rigid Printed Boards (IPC-6012C) standards.
“Joey’s involvement with these task groups provides an opportunity for the IPC to benefit from EI and the expertise of its engineering team. At the same time, EI benefits from the collaboration with other industry leaders while contributing to the content of these new specifications, making them timely and relevant for today’s environment,” commented Brad VanBrunt, VP Quality and Business Excellence at EI.
