Ken Spink, Director of Quality & Advanced Technical Labs at Endicott Interconnect Technologies, Inc. (EI) was named 2009 Employee of the Year by the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce at their 45th Annual Dinner and Meeting held in Binghamton, NY on Tuesday, May 19th.
The Chamber selected Ken for his demonstrated leadership and passion for improving his company, community and colleagues. Ken, who leads a team of 40 reliability, modeling, failure and chemical analysis staff, has devoted his 25 year career to helping deliver world class quality products while encouraging and assisting others to excel. He also directs EI’s United Way efforts and over the past six years, has helped raise over $600,000 for the community by participating in United Way steering committees and coordinating EI’s Day of Caring events.
“Ken is a valuable leader who cares about the people he works with and inspires them to do their best. He brings a great advantage to this company by making individuals better while making the company stronger,” commented Brad Van Brunt, VP of Quality & Business Excellence at EI.
Ken was chosen as Employee of the Year from a group of twelve people who were named Employee of the Month by The Chamber between June 2008 and May 2009. The Chamber selects awardees based upon qualities such as leadership, integrity, honesty, dependability, positive attitude, productive and efficient work performance and caring for their community.
